EXCLUSIVE: Wife Of Murdered Tulsa Man Speaks Out

TULSA, OK -- The wife of a Tulsa man who police say was murdered over an English bulldog is speaking out. 

Guy Jones was beaten to death Friday afternoon as his one-year-old son was asleep in his bedroom. 

The News On 6 spoke with his wife about how she's coping with her grief.

Shanna Deshields says her husband was the love of her life and she can't imagine facing Christmas without him.

"I can't sleep very much. I can't eat but a little bite. My children need a dad. I've got four children right now, that don't have anybody but me now. And I don't know what I'm going to do," said Shanna Deshields, Guy Jones' wife.

When Shanna came home Friday afternoon, she found her husband's dead body in the front room of their North Tulsa house.

"It was shock. I can't explain it. I don't know how to explain it. No one should have to experience something like that," said Shanna Deshields.

Deshields says her husband was devoted to hard work and family values.

"Our romance was a story tale, fairytale romance. We never fought. We argued once, in 13 years," said Deshields.

Five suspects have been booked on complaints of first degree murder in Jones' death: Aldelso Shadrick Barnes, 18; James Edward Alexander, 18; Shanon Hunt, 18; Jovan Caldwell, 20, and Sabrina Lee Cummings, 18.

Police are seeking a person of interest in the case, 47-year-old Carmile Chong Hwan Sulvetta, who they believe was the "mastermind" behind the homicide. They say Sulvetta "orchestrated meetings which ultimately led to the victim's death."

Police say Jones tried to fight back, but he died from massive trauma.

"We all loved him very much, and it's sad that he's gone and not going to be here to help take care of his family anymore," said Deshields.

Detectives say the beating stemmed from a dispute over who owned an English bulldog. Police say Jones apparently stole a bulldog from one of the suspects. Deshields says that's not true.

"The only thing that I can comment on at this time is that my husband is not a dog thief," said Deshields.
