Man Taken To Hospital Following Tulsa Auto-Pedestrian Collision

TULSA, OK -- Oklahoma Highway Patrol Troopers responded to an auto-pedestrian collision Saturday night that sent one man to the hospital.

The collision occurred at about 11:25 p.m. on I-244 eastbound at the exit ramp to Yale.

An 18-year-old man and a 22-year-old man were walking northbound across traffic lanes of I-244 and failed to yield to traffic, walking into the path of a Chevy TrailBlazer, which was eastbound on I-244 approaching Yale, according to an OHP report.

The 18-year-old, Tyler Ordoyne of Thibodaux, Louisiana, was admitted to St. John's hospital in stable condition with leg and head injuries.

The other pedestrian, 22-year- old Nicholas Ordoyne of Ellinwood, Kansas was not injured.

The driver of the Chevy Tailblazer, 37-year-old Candle Melton of Vinita, and her 8-year-old passenger, were not injured.
