TULSA---Today at the Tulsa Air and Space Museum, TASM Executive Director Jim Bridenstine took his Naval oath of office. Jim was sworn in by Commander John Herrington, an Oklahoma Astronaut and Navy Pilot.
Lieutenant Bridenstine (O3) is rejoining the Navy as a reservist after previously serving as an active duty E-2 and F-18 pilot in the U.S. Navy from 1998 to 2007 where he flew missions in both Afghanistan and Iraq.
‘It will be a great opportunity for me to keep flying and serving my country,' he said ‘I look forward to employing the E-2c in counter drug operations in the Caribbean and South and Central America.'
Jim was administered the Naval oath by Oklahoma astronaut John Harrington, and will remain Executive Director for the Tulsa Air and Space Museum.
