Cherokee Casino Puts Up Huge Christmas Tree at Will Rogers Downs

CLAREMORE---Today Cherokee Casino Will Rogers Downs put up their Christmas tree, but it isn't just any tree, it's a 50-foot Norwegian Spruce delivered by semi-truck straight from New Hampshire.

‘If you've seen the Christmas tree at Macy's, ours is bigger,' said David Stewart, CEO of Cherokee Nation Entertainment, ‘we wanted to make sure our tree was visible for all to see, not only our guests, but those driving by on Highway 20.'

This tree is the largest outdoor tree on display in Oklahoma and will have over 3,000 lights once decorated. The public is invited to bring an ornament to adorn the tree which will be lit in a ceremony Friday evening at 6pm.

Will Rogers Downs is located on Highway 20 just a few miles east of Claremore.
