TULSA, OK -- A passenger in a semi-trailer truck was injured on northbound U.S. Highway 169 between 21st and 31st Streets at about 2 p.m. Wednesday when a bullet came through the window.

The truck driver was able to pull over to the shoulder. Investigators say the victim had already been taken to the hospital by the time they got there, and the driver does not speak English, so they are still trying to sort through this bizarre incident.

"We don't know all the issues surrounding this - and we're trying to figure out exactly what happened - but certainly at this time of the year, we don't want to see this kind of activity going on," said Captain Walter Busby of the Tulsa Police Department.

The driver was apparently uninjured, and the 19-year-old passenger's is said to be in fair condition.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Tulsa Police and Tulsa Fire responded to the scene.
