TULSA, OK -- A hit and run wreck Tuesday evening in north Tulsa sent an elderly couple to the hospital.

The crash happened near the intersection of Apache and Peoria at about 8 p.m.

Tulsa firefighters say both vehicles were traveling southbound on Peoria when one car rear-ended the other at a high rate of speed.  The impact caused the car that was hit to roll over.

About an hour before the accident, Tulsa Police say a person armed with a gun carjacked the first car outside a restaurant near Pine and Peoria.

The elderly couple in the accident, 84-year-old Bob Bartholic and his 70-year-old wife, Barbara, were ejected from their car.  Both are listed in serious condition at a Tulsa hospital.

Tulsa Police are still looking for the driver of other car.

Anyone with information about the carjacking and the accident is being asked to call Crime Stoppers at 596-COPS.
