TULSA, OK -- Two Tulsa residents were arrested Thursday evening after officers followed a strong odor of chemicals to an apartment in the 3300 block of East Newton.

Tulsa Police say officers knocked on the door and were met by one of the apartment's residents shortly after 6 p.m.

The officers say they saw a second person cooking what appeared to be methamphetamine on a small griddle.

Both residents, 57-year-old Sharon King and 45-year-old Ervin Gibson were arrested and booked into the Tulsa County jail on complaints of manufacturing methamphetamine.
