TULSA, OK -- A Tulsa Police chase early Friday morning ended near Latimer and Madison after the suspect's vehicle strikes a tree.
Police say the chase began after police officers were called to investigate a burglary call at Admiral and Memorial. A short time after, police spotted a vehicle connected to the burglary call and gave chase.
Police officers stopped the car at Utica and I-244. One person got out of the car and surrendered to police, but two others in the car drove off with police again chasing them.
The chase wound through a neighborhood before the vehicle crashed into a tree. Both people in the car fled on foot and both were apprehended a short time later with the use of a police canine unit.
Tulsa Police arrested 20-year-old Michael Carter, who was hiding in a porta-potty [see video], and a 17-year-old juvenile.
Michael Carter faces two charges of mistreating a police dog, one count of eluding an officer and one count of resisting arrest.
Tulsa Police say the person who surrendered earlier was left alone after the chase resumed and has since disappeared.
