One Arrested Following Overnight Tulsa Police Chase

TULSA, OK -- One person is behind bars after a police chase in east Tulsa overnight.

It started just before 3 a.m. Thursday when a police officer tried to stop a car on U.S. Highway 169 for a traffic violation. 

The driver took off, got off the highway at 31st Street and he sped through a neighborhood. 

The chase ended near 41st and Garnett, when 33-year-old Troy Penny bailed out of the car and ran off on foot. 

He was caught a short time later. 

Police officers say Penny had outstanding warrants.  He was arrested and taken to the Tulsa County jail.
