TULSA, OK -- The John Hope Franklin Center will be holding its first Dinner of Reconciliation Thursday evening.
According to a news release, nationally recognized Tulsa historian and author Scott Ellsworth will deliver the keynote address. Professor Ellsworth is author of "Death in a Promised Land" which is a comprehensive history of the 1921 Tulsa Race Riot.
The dinner will begin at 6:00 pm at the Greenwood Cultural Center at 322 North Greenwood Avenue.
The John Hope Franklin Center for Reconciliation is developing a consortium of academic institutions, historical societies, and organizations devoted to equality, racial justice and social harmony to continue his legacy.
