WAGONER, OK -- A Broken Arrow teen pleaded guilty Monday to the December beating death of a Muskogee man.

Gage Broom, 17, was arrested on a first-degree manslaughter complaint in the death of 27-year-old Justin Childress. Childress' battered body was discovered December 5 near his sister's home outside of Broken Arrow.

Broom accepted a plea deal before his trial of 20 years in prison and three years on probation. Broom will serve at least 17 years of the sentence.
