UNDATED -- The Oklahoma Highway Patrol has cleared the roadway after multiple accidents on westbound I-44 just east of the Oklahoma City gate, between mile markers 134-137, according to George Brown, OHP spokesman.
The first accident occurred at about 12:15 p.m. Saturday. Additional accidents were called chain reaction accidents. Wet weather is also believed to play a role. Some injuries were reported.
One lane was blocked and traffic was slow on the Turner Turnpike westbound towards Norman where the University of Oklahoma hosted the University of Tulsa.
