Registration Open For Saturday's Tulsa Race For The Cure

Registration Open For Saturday's Tulsa Race For The Cure

TULSA, OK -- It's not too late to register for the Susan G. Komen Tulsa Race for the Cure set for Saturday. Whether you're a serious running primed for the 5K run or a Komen supporter ready for the one mile fun walk, registration is open today at 2488 E. 81st St. near the ORU Campus.

News On 6 Anchor LeAnne Taylor will lead the Survivor's Parade that takes place each year.

"We're starting to process registration forms out here at CityPlex Towers," Taylor said. Walkers and runners can register up until about 7:30 a.m. Saturday morning. Registration will open in the morning at 6 am.

The timed 5 kilometer race begins at 7:45 a.m., and the Survivor Ceremony starts at 8:30 a.m. The untimed 1-mile fun run/walk starts at 9:45 a.m.

This year there's also a Sleepwalkers Race for people who can't make it to the race Saturday but still want to donate.

"As my good friend Alan Crone says, 'The sun will come up, we just don't know when,'" Taylor said.
