OOLOGAH, OK -- A hummingbird is flying high again after Oologah-Talala paramedics nursed it back to health.
It seemed the tiny bird flew into the station on Monday, but couldn't find a way out. When Paramedic Susan Baker and EMT Bonnie Scott found their tiny patient, they scooped it up and fed it sugar water.
"The more she ate, I could feel the stronger she was getting in my hands and by the time she was ready to go, she was fluttering so fast I was afraid it would hurt her, me trying to hold her. So, we all went outside real quickly and opened up my hands and she kinda hovered for a couple seconds and then she just flew off over the station," said EMT Bonnie
The bird sipped on the sweet cocktail for 10 minutes before it was strong enough to fly off.
