FAIRFAX, OK -- A kindergartener is dead after a deer crashed into his mom's truck.  It happened on Tuesday near Fairfax, in Osage County.

The stepmother, Rachel Wilson, said she was taking her three sons to school when she saw a deer in the road.  She stopped, but another driver going the opposite direction didn't and hit the deer.  The impact threw the deer into the family's truck.

It crushed the cab, killing five-year-old Jacob Wilson.  A six- and nine-year-old were also in the truck, they weren't injured.

The family says Wilson will be buried Friday in Ponca City. A benefit cookout is set before Saturday's football game between Fairfax and Shidler for Wilson's family.

News On 6 Anchor Craig Day is in Ponca City now and will have more on this story in the 6 p.m. newscast.
