TULSA, OK -- A man attempted robbery of the BOk branch at 6505 E. 101st St. armed with a cookie and a note for the teller, according to Sgt. Dave Walker of the Tulsa Police Department.

At about 5:40 p.m. Friday, the man entered the bank eating a cookie.  He walked to a teller window and presented a note that read "give me 6---$ for beer for the homeless."

"The teller who took the note was shaken up," Walker said. "She said she just handed the note back, said 'no,' and he left."

The suspect, Walker called "the cookie crumbler," ran from the bank after the teller refused to give him any money. He had been seen three hours prior to the event walking along the drive thru aisle smoking a cigarette and waving at the tellers.

The suspect is described as a white male, 5'10" to 6' tall, about 250 to 300 pounds with a shaved bald head and no facial hair. He was last seen wearing a gray long sleeve shirt, blue jeans and black tennis shoes.

"He's a pretty unusual looking character," Sgt. Walker said. "We expect someone in the area will know him."

Law Enforcement is treating this as an attempted robbery of a financial institution.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 596-COPS or the Robbery Tip line at 527-0085 or email robbery@ci.tulsa.ok.us.
