TULSA, OK -- An 18-year-old man was taken into Tulsa Police custody after an officer stopped the suspect in a stolen vehicle early Wednesday morning.

George Curtis bailed from the car and ran across the Booker T. Washington High School's campus. A short time later, Curtis was located by a police dog hiding behind a garbage can in the 2400 block of North Rockford.

The car was reported stolen from the 7300 block of East Marshall Place on August 14.

Police say Curtis suffered superficial dog bites to his legs.

Curtis was booked into the Tulsa County jail on complaints of being in possession of a stolen vehicle.

A passenger who also fled the stolen car has not been arrested.
