TULSA, OK -- There's a new techno-tool for Tulsa Public School parents.
Tulsa Public Schools is offering an online payment system where parents can prepay for their children's lunches on the internet.
The PaySchools option will be linked to your child's school website. All you have to do is log on, enter your credit card number or e-check for the amount and the school will send you an e-mail receipt.
"More and more busy people turn to the Internet every month to pay their bills online, and we saw there was a need to offer that same kind of service to the parents and community members in our district," said Joe Stoeppelwerth, district treasurer.
Officials say the program will be expanded in the future to allow parents to pay for other school-related items.
TPS officials say they hope parents will find the new system easy and convenient.
