TULSA, OK -- A disturbance on the 7th floor of the Tulsa County Courthouse Monday morning prompted a judge to clear the floor.
Courthouse officials say onlookers who were outside a courtroom were causing a disturbance and a judge instructed the sheriff's deputies to clear the hallways.
An attorney connected to a trial taking place on the 7th floor became irate and complained to the sheriff's deputies, officials say.
Courthouse officials say the attorney had an altercation with a sheriff's deputy as the attorney tried to get into a judge's chambers.
Officials say the attorney calmed down when the judge threatened to hold him in contempt.
The Tulsa County Sheriff's Office is investigating the incident.
