TULSA, OK -- It appears that the use of alcohol was involved in a single-car accident Sunday morning. Alcohol use is indicated but not yet confirmed according to a spokesperson from the Tulsa Police Department.
An unidentified man was driving south on Highway 169 at about 39th St. South at about 7 a.m. when his car left the road and went airborne, landing nose first in a drainage ditch.
The car rolled over onto the roof trapping the driver inside. A security guard making his rounds nearby saw the car and called for help.
The driver was in serious condition but alert at the scene. He was transported to a Tulsa hospital with multiple injuries, police say.
