Tree Damages Car In Sand Springs

SAND SPRINGS, OK -- Heavy rains could be to blame for a tree falling on a woman's car Tuesday morning in Sand Springs.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says the woman was driving in the 7800 block of 7th Street in Sand Springs when a tree fell on her car causing her to also run over a tree limb.

The car sustained some damage underneath and had to be towed to a repair shop.

OHP troopers say the driver was not hurt.

Tulsa County crews attribute the fall to the saturated ground, but say they wind did not play a factor.

Those crews cleared the tree from the roadway.
