Marine Welcomed Home In Tulsa

TULSA, OK -- A local Marine is back on the home front with friends and family.

"It's exciting and everything, not really a whole lot's changed, just kinda happy to be home," said Cpl. Donald Purdy, US Marine Corps.

Cpl. Donald Purdy's mom is glad to have him back too.

Purdy has spent the last eight months aboard a navy amphibious assault ship.

Purdy says he's looking forward to a little rest and relaxation over the next couple weeks, especially getting some time in for fishing.
