Two Beggs Women Charged With 2nd Degree Rape

OKMULGEE, Ok. (AP) - Rape charges have now been filed against two Beggs women accused of having sex with 14-year-old boys.

Okmulgee County prosecutors on Thursday charged 29-year-old Mindy Carder with three counts of second degree rape and one count of encouraging a minor to commit a drug related crime. Twenty-one-year-old Ashley Sprague is charged with two counts of second-degree rape.

Police say they're waiting for the district attorney to review evidence against a third woman who investigators say has also admitted having sex with a teenage boy. Her name hasn't been released.

Carder and Sprague have been in the Okmulgee Co. jail since last Friday after the father of 1 of the boys called police.

It wasn't clear whether the women have hired attorneys.
