TULSA, OK -- A Tulsa woman is in serious condition after officers say she was run over by a truck.
Emergency crews responded at about 10:30 Wednesday morning to the Waterford Apartments, located at 53rd and Harvard.
Officers with the Tulsa Police Department say a truck was backing out of a parking spot and ran over the 25-year-old victim.
Tulsa Fire Department spokesman Bill French says the woman was pinned with her knees against her chest. She was stuck under the truck until crews arrived and used a set of jaws to free her.
She was treated at the scene and was then transported to a Tulsa hospital.
Captain Spencer Yeager says the woman was conscious and breathing when they freed her, but a language barrier made it difficult to communicate with her.
