TULSA, OK -- Tulsa Police are investigating the city's 38th homicide of the year. The victim has been identified as 51-year-old Adrian Washington.

The shooting happened shortly before 4 a.m. Wednesday at Bradford Apartments in the 500 block of East 32nd Street North and Garrison.

When police arrived on scene, they say they found Washington dead in the driver's seat of a car from a gunshot wound to the upper torso.

Police say a passenger in the car knocked on an apartment door and said the driver was bleeding as the car struck a building in the complex. Officers have been unable to locate that passenger.

At this point, police say they have no suspects, but continue to conduct interviews in the apartment complex.

A check with the Oklahoma Department of Corrections shows Washington had spent time in prison for several drug related convictions.

Anyone with information about the homicide is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 596-COPS.
