TULSA, OK -- A 36-year-old Tulsa man has been charged with one count of second degree murder in connection with the death of Stephen Stewart last week. 

William Parris, who remains in the Tulsa County jail on a $250,000 bond, also faces four counts of larceny of an automobile and one count each of assault with a dangerous weapon and possession of controlled drug. 

Stephen Stewart, 64, came home on July 12 and found a man stealing his work truck. When Stewart tried to stop the thief, he was hit and killed. 

William Parris was arrested a short time later.
