Heart Attack Survivor Grateful To BAFD

BROKEN ARROW, OK -- Tom Sorrels had a heart attack at a Broken Arrow Reasor's last month.  A man saw him in fall in the parking lot and rushed to help, only to find out it was his long-time neighbor.

An off-duty firefighter was shopping and saw the commotion.

"I just left my stuff on the counter and headed out there. You and another gentleman rolled him over and I heard you, as I came up, say something about 'Do you know CPR? Do you know CPR?' And, you all were about to start when I walked up there," said Broken Arrow Fire Captain Jeremy Roberts.

Captain Roberts coordinated with the dispatcher to get paramedics who were clearing from another nearby call to come to the scene quickly.
