TULSA, OK -- A man is in custody after officers say he tried to hire someone to murder his wife.
Investigators say he shared an elaborate plan with an undercover officer at a truck stop at Admiral and 129th East Avenue. The officer says the man instructed him on how to enter the house and gave the officer instructions to injure him, but to kill his wife.
"It was fortunate that with proactive work from the Tulsa Police Department did to save this woman's life and get to this individual and have him in custody," said Rogers County Sheriff Scott Walton.
The man left the truckstop and was arrested at another convenience store on Admiral at 161st East Avenue.
His wife was not hurt. Detectives are still trying to determine a motive.
