TULSA, OK -- St. John Health System named Jan Slater to the position of Oklahoma State University Medical Center chief executive officer.
In a news release, St. John says Slater is a seasoned medical executive with more than 33 years experience in healthcare management. Slater has served as interim chief executive officer upon OSUMC's transfer of ownership from Ardent Health Services to the OSUMC Trust on April 30.
"We are fortunate to have Jan leading OSUMC leadership as we begin a new chapter in the hospital's history," says David Pynn, St. John Health System chief operating officer. "Jan's impressive background and health care experience will enable her to quickly address the transitional needs of OSUMC, as well as plan for its long-term growth."
Prior to her position with OSUMC, Slater served as corporate legal counsel to St. John Health System, a position she held since 1991.
Slater also previously served as adjunct faculty member for Oral Roberts University's Hospital Administration program. She presently serves as a University of Tulsa adjunct professor in the Division of Continuing Education; Professional Development Program and Legal Nurse Consultant Course.
