TULSA, OK -- The Tulsa area is getting more than $2 million to help prevent, respond to, and recover from disasters.

Fire, police, and medical agencies in Tulsa and surrounding communities will get a cut of the money later this year to enhance communications and planning.

A quarter of the money will be spent on preventing terrorism.
