Beaten Woman Dies In Tulsa Hospital

TULSA, OK -- A woman, who police say was kicked in the head during a fight Sunday, has died in a Tulsa hospital.

Jessica Graph, 28, died Monday afternoon.

Tulsa police say she was involved in a fight with another woman Sunday in the 500 block of South 54th West Avenue.

Witnesses say Graph was on her hands and knees when 21-year-old Bryan Thurman, the brother of the other woman, kicked Graph in the head and ran away.

According to police records, Thurman admitted to kicking the victim one time, claiming it was in self defense. However, witnesses told detectives the victim was not attacking Thurman in any way.

Thurman is being held without bond on a complaint of first-degree murder.
