JONESBORO, Ark. (AP) - Police in Jonesboro say they've recovered the body of a 14-year-old boy who was swept into a storm drain and likely drowned.

Police say Charles Porter's body was found around 2 a.m. Officers say Porter was playing in a flooded field and the current swept him down into a drainage pipe Sunday night.

Flash flooding also claimed two other lives Sunday night in Craighead County. Dispatchers say a man and woman died when their sport-utility vehicle overturned on flooded County Road 785, about 10 miles northeast of Jonesboro.

The floods come as part of 1 of the rainiest Mays on record. The National Weather Service at North Little Rock reports that 12.89 inches of rain have fallen so far this month. Forecasters say that makes May 2009 the wettest since 1893. The wettest on record is 1882, when 15.91 inches of rain fell.
