TULSA, OK -- A teenager shot at an east Tulsa apartment complex has died. The teenager died at a Tulsa hospital and the gunman is still on the loose.
Police were called to the Tower Crossing Apartments near 41st and Garnett shortly after 5 p.m. Monday evening.
Officers say two men who drove a blue Honda Civic got into an argument with two men who drove a red truck.
Officers say someone in the blue car got out with a shotgun and fired at one of the men in the truck.
The victim was shot and died a short time later after EMSA transported him to a Tulsa hospital.
EMSA spokeswoman Tina Wells says the victim was about 16-years-old.
Investigators say the men in the blue car sped off.
David Lee Sears heard the gunshot and then helped the victim until the ambulance arrived.
He says all of his neighbors are spooked.
"It's a pretty bad shape when you got people with kids around here and teenagers shooting each other. It's just not safe," said David Lee Sears, a witness.
Police are still investigating, but they say this could be a drug deal gone bad.
Police have not released the identity of the victim. No one has been arrested.
If you have information that could help, call Crime Stoppers at 596-COPS.
