OOLOGAH, OK --  A rock and roll band with roots in Oologah is headed overseas for two weeks. The band will be touring U.S. military bases in the Middle East.

The Effects was formed by three Oologah teens in 2003.

Two of the group's original members, Dalton McNaughton and Crockett Cartwright, have left, but Joel King is still playing lead guitar for The Effects.

In May 2008, the group was featured on Six in the Morning.
