TULSA, OK -- If you're working around the house this weekend and find any old batteries or maybe an old cell phone, think about recycling them instead of throwing them out.
Boy and Girl Scouts troops in eastern Oklahoma are hosting an electronics recycling fundraiser for the next couple of weeks.
The troop that collects the most e-waste wins a bowling party.
Girl Scouts drop-off sites until May 30:
Food Pyramid at 81st and Yale: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 16, 23, 30; 2 to 4 p.m. May 17, 24
USA Signs at 9242 S. Sheridan: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday-Friday; 9 a.m. to noon Saturday
Jenks East Elementary, 3933 E. 91st St.: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday-Friday
Boy Scouts drop-off sites until June 6:
Century Motor Works, 6535 E. Skelly Drive: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday; 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday
Kirk of the Hills Church, 4102 E. 61st St.: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday; 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday
Accepted donations include computers, stereos, copiers, camcorders, circuit boards, electric pianos, video cameras, printers, monitors, CD players, projectors, cameras, radios, game consoles, telephones, PDAs, typewriters, cell phones, VCRs, DVD players, all batteries (car batteries must be drained of acid), generators, speakers, microwaves, fax machines, CB radios, plotters, cable/wiring, electric lawnmowers. TVs will not be accepted.
