TULSA, OK -- Tulsa's Mayfest is in full swing this weekend, along with another celebration for the city's homeless.
The John 3:16 Mission hosted an "alternative Mayfest," a day of fun, food, games and music.
"It's just a day of normalcy for them," Pastor Gene Mansfield said. "They just forget about their problems a little bit, play games and we get a chance to love on them, just do something special, something different for them."
It was the fourth year for the block party. Volunteers help put it on and say they had several hundred people come out to enjoy the day.
