Tulsa Police Officer Avoids Injury In Accident

TULSA, OK -- A close call for a Tulsa Police officer overnight after he's involved in an accident.

Early Friday morning, the officer was headed northbound on Memorial at 65th Street South when a car headed in the opposite direction turned in front of him.

The officer avoided the car, but went off the road, taking out a bus stop enclosure and part of a fence at an apartment complex.

No one was hurt but the police car sustained heavy damage.

The driver of the other car kept driving and hasn't been found.
