TULSA, OK -- Tulsa is the first bike friendly city in Oklahoma, according to The League of American Bicyclists.
Mayor Kathy Taylor is proud of the designation, saying it puts Tulsa on the national biking map.
She says the city has worked hard to earn the reputation with its Rack-n-Roll program allowing residents to borrow a bike and the numerous trails around town.

The designation will be recognized in conjunction with the region's annual Bike to Work Day on May 15 from 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. on the Williams Green in Downtown Tulsa.
