OKLAHOMA CITY -- A recent poll shows Governor Brad Henry remains popular among Oklahoma voters.
In a telephone survey of 318 likely voters by Oklahoma City-based SoonerPoll.com, 66.3 of respondents say they approve of the job Henry is doing. Another 28.9% say they disapprove and 4.7% say they were neutral.
The survey was conducted April 23-26 and has a margin of error of plus or minus 5.5 percentage points.
Henry ranked higher than President Obama (46.5%) and U.S. Sens. Jim Inhofe (62.3%) and Tom Coburn (60.4%).
The survey also shows 82.7% of respondents favor requiring Oklahoma voters to show identification at the polls, a proposal Henry vetoed earlier this year.
