MEXICO CITY (AP) - Two people are dead after a strong earthquake struck central Mexico Monday.

Police in the Pacific coast state of Guerrero, where the quake was centered, says two women aged 67 and 75 died of heart attacks. The U.S. Geological Survey measured the quake at a magnitude 5.6.

About 130 miles from the epicenter, the quake further rattled nerves in Mexico City, where people are already tense from the swine flu outbreak. Buildings swayed and office workers who streamed into the streets described feeling like the "Apocalypse" had arrived. One woman says she's just not used to "living with so much fear."

There were no reports of injuries or major damage in Mexico City, but there was some around Acapulco which was closer to the epicenter. Four homes there collapsed.

The USGS says Mexico City felt the quake strongly in part because the epicenter was relatively shallow.
