Derailment Blocks Tulsa Co. Railroad Crossing

OWASSO, OK -- Workers have now cleaned up a train derailment that occurred in a rural section of northern Tulsa County over the weekend.

A car from a South Kansas and Oklahoma Railroad train derailed at 106th Street North and Mingo Sunday afternoon, shutting down 106th Street North.

The railcar was empty but had to be repaired before it could be put back on the tracks.

The cause of the derailment remains under investigation.
