Tulsa Judge Will Decide Sentence For Murderer

TULSA, OK -- A Tulsa County District Court judge says he will decide the new sentence for a man convicted of killing his son.

Carlis Ball's attorneys asked the judge to make the decision rather than leave it up to a jury.

Ball was found guilty of murder in the scalding death of his two-year-old son Keenan.

Ball was first given two life sentences, but a state appeals court said the jury wasn't given clear instructions.

The judge's decision is expected next week.
