POTEAU, Okla. (AP) -- Authorities are searching for a man who they say robbed the Arvest Bank in the Le Flore County town of Poteau.
The FBI says the robbery occurred about 11:15 a.m. Monday when a lone man estimated to be between 50 and 60 years old entered the bank. The FBI says he gave a note to a teller that said he had a gun, although no weapon was seen.
Authorities say he took the money and left the bank on foot and later was seen walking toward an apartment complex near the bank.
The Oklahoma Bankers Association is offering a reward of up to $2,000 in the case. The FBI and Poteau police are investigating the robbery.
