Sand Springs Canine Officer Given Vest

SAND SPRINGS, OK -- An area police officer has received a gift that will make his job a little safer.

Timmy, one of Sand Spring's K-9 officers, was given a bulletproof vest Friday.

After hearing he was in need, students at TCC's Veterinary Technology Center raised money to buy the vest.

Timmy's trainer says he helps officers search buildings, track suspects and find drugs.
