TULSA, OK -- A Tulsa man is in custody after leading troopers on a high speed chase.

It all started at about 12:30 a.m. Monday when a trooper with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol tried to stop a vehicle for an illegal left turn at Pine and Lewis.

When the trooper turned on his lights, the vehicle sped off.

The suspect ran stop signs and speeds hit 75 miles per hour.

Troopers say the chase lasted less than a minute before the driver lost control and slammed into a privacy fence at TU.

He ran away, but was caught at a nearby QuikTrip Convenience Store.
