UNDATED -- The final story line is pending for the Spaulding, Bauer, and Lewis families.  CBS is ending the longest-running drama on television.

The Guiding Light will air its final episode in September.  It started 72 years ago as a radio program and moved to television in 1952.

CBS hasn't said what will air in its place.
