OWASSO, OK -- Owasso Public Schools are building up education, literally.
The school system had a ribbon-cutting ceremony Sunday for its newly finished $17 million expansion to the high school.
The new addition includes classrooms, two state-of-the-art science labs, two art studios, a vocal music room, a main office, counseling office and a new cafeteria.
Owasso's athletic programs also got an upgrade, with a brand new gymnasium and football stadium still in the works.
Funding for the overall expansion project was provided through a 2006 school bond issue.
