SAND SPRINGS, OK -- A fire damages a Sand Springs church overnight.
Sand Springs firefighters were called to the Limestone Baptist Church at 3600 South 137th West Avenue at around 11 p.m. Sunday.
It is unknown what caused the fire, but firefighters say it appears to have started in the back of the sanctuary.
Fire officials say the church sustained mostly smoke damage.
"I don't think it had enough heat damage to cause any structural damage, mainly cosmetic and then you know, the heat and smoke," said Sand Springs Fire deputy chief Mike Woods.
Damage is estimated at between $50,000 and $60,000.
Fire officials are still investigating the cause of the fire.
