No. 2 Seed Sooners To Meet Morgan State

NORMAN, OK -- OU has been selected as a No. 2 seed in the NCAA Tournament and will face Morgan State in the first round.

The Sooners (27-5) and the Bears (23-11) will play Thursday in Kansas City, Mo.

"Hopefully, it keeps us a little more fresh," coach Jeff Capel said of not having to travel far to nearby Kansas City. "But our guys should be real excited, excited to have an opportunity to still play. A lot of people would love to be in our spot right now. We should be excited and hopefully we play that way."

The teams have never met. No. 15 seed Morgan State won the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Tournament.

The OU-Morgan State winner will play either Clemson or Michigan.
