TULSA, OK -- With the economic downturn, more people are being smart with their money and with their cars.
On Saturday, the Smart Center of Tulsa hosted a celebration for owners and fans of their Smart Cars.
The party and parade marks the first anniversary of the vehicles' debut in the U.S.
Smart Car owners say even after a year, they still love their little cars.
"I love it! It's a lot of fun to drive," Richard Sheldon said. "It's very economical. It is very comfortable to drive. It doesn't drive like a small car, much roomier inside then you would ever believe."
Owners say the best part is how much they save on gas. The tiny cars average 40-45 miles-per-gallon.
